Participated in a Water Rescue

In December 2016, my friends and I participated in a water rescue activity in the Penjalin reservoir located in the Winduaji area, Paguyangan, Brebes, which was held for 3 days and 2 nights.

We left at 6 a.m. by bus. It took about 1 to 2 hours to get there. But in the middle of the trip, the bus we were riding in had a broken tire. We had to wait for 30 minutes to continue our trip.

We arrived at the Penjalin reservoir at 8.30 a.m. The opening ceremony was held at 8 a.m. Aftet that, thr participants got the basic theory for water rescue.

In the second day, we began the water rescue simulation, such as how to row the boat correctly, help the victims who drowned, gave artificial ventilations, etc.

In day 3, the participants were woken up around 12 a.m. It was raining hard when we were all ordered to soak in the reservoir then drink the herbs made by the rescue team. The third day was used to continue the activities on the second day. At 5.30 p.m., we finished all of the activities. After the closing ceremony, we were sent to go home.
